lyrics

Walkin’ down that lonely road of moonbeams/ daydreams. As the morning sun burns the fog away. And all we know, is all we see thru the shattered glass of our reality. All we know is yesterday is gone. Meanwhile the author of the mystery has sailed away across the sea and left us dreaming on. We could be waking up - we’ve been sleeping far too long. Oh be careful of the dark my child be careful. The path’s so hard to see. Still others scent the coming light and ride the wind from endless night, that's blowin' between you and me. Meanwhile those easy riders on the highway of pain take some hard knocks over heavy rocks. Ride their Harleys into the haze. They could be waking up - the doors of sleep are all undone. And it’s a sharp blade and a steady hand we need now - to end this fantasy. Coz the ties that bind are only in our minds - our hearts are brave as they’ve been always, and our spirits long to be free. And when Jesus comes back she won’t be talking crap, she’ll be gay and he’ll be black - they’ll put her on the M.T.V. (but we won’t be watching), we’ll be waking up. The dream is ending for us all. Oh wake up you sleepyheads put on your shoes get out of bed----

about

Andrew Buglass Ruatapu, New Zealand

A musician of little repute or technical skill. Fell in love with song at an early age and learned his simple guitar licks imitating the likes of Neil Young, Ian Anderson & Luke Hurley. Lyrical inspiration from the Dylan's & Cohen's of the world - with a dash of Morrissey or maybe Kristin Hersh. Performances limited to brief solo outings in cupboards and other small spaces. Until now. ... more
