lyrics

Home is where the heart is. It's where I got all my things. A rambling path and an overgrown garden Wildflowers growing all in a ring. Home is where the heart is. Somewhere out there up on the land Home is where the crazy old artist draws his circles in the ever shifting sands. I’m goin’ home. Up there above the dark brooding headland. Seagulls wingeing, wings beating the time. I’ve got an old guitar and a song that keeps forming. Calling out with no reason to rhyme. It says, “home is where the heart is. Riding out on that perfect wave. Home is the part that never changes, always stays the same.” Home is where the heart is. Out there waiting at the edge of the fray. Sun is sinking - night birds are calling - celebrate the end of the day. Home - it’s not the end of traveling. That old highway still calls out to me. Feel the mystery that’s slowly unraveling, and pause a while on this strange journey. Home - it’s not far from the wild shore. Not so far from the steep mountainside. Hear its music calling in the soft rain. Between the sunrise and the pale starlight.

about

Andrew Buglass Ruatapu, New Zealand

A musician of little repute or technical skill. Fell in love with song at an early age and learned his simple guitar licks imitating the likes of Neil Young, Ian Anderson & Luke Hurley. Lyrical inspiration from the Dylan's & Cohen's of the world - with a dash of Morrissey or maybe Kristin Hersh. Performances limited to brief solo outings in cupboards and other small spaces. Until now. ... more
